Belmont Ridge’s Amazing Race Teacher Copy 7th Grade Prior to the team building activity, eighth block teachers will need to have grouped their students into teams of four. Please try to group your students so that only SWAT students are together, FBI students are together, and CIA students are together. Each group of students will be starting out at a different station, based on their 8th block class. Each station will have envelopes with a challenge and envelopes with a clue. At the beginning of the activity, the eighth block teacher will give each team a race sheet and the following instructions: As a team you will be competing in Belmont Ridge’s version of the “Amazing Race.” Each team will need to take with them a pencil and their race sheet. At the successful completion of a challenge, you will have the teacher sign off on your race sheet, and you will be given a clue to the location of your next challenge. There may be more than one possible location for each station. The team needs to choose the location that the majority of their team would go to answer the question on the clue. It is a “race.” However, when in the building, you may not run. At the end of the challenge, each team will give the Dean their results. The cooperative group from each team of seventh grade students that has successfully completed the majority of the challenges will win a reward. In addition to a small group challenge, we will be tallying up points for a grade level team challenge. Good luck and have fun! Stations Station 1: L.A.
