OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
 Create a foundation of understanding of the world of ICT for Education
 Demonstrate an understanding of ICT in the context of global
communication
 Compose an insightful reflection paper on the nature of ICT in the context
of their lives, society, and professional tracks

SUBJECT MATTER

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Literacy
Materials:
Learners Material, Presentation Equipment

PROCEDURE
Motivation (Modification of misused computer related terms)
 Present some pictures of computer related objects that are commonly
misidentified and ask the students to identify each picture
 As to be part of ICT community, let the students understand the awareness
of computer related terms

A. Activity
 Divide the students into 5 groups
 Video presentation: Information and Communications Technology for
Education
 Allow the students to reflect the importance of ICT for Education
 Let the students provide their ideas/opinions about the importance of ICT for
Education. Allow them to write their answers in a ¼ sheet of paper and
share with their group members
 Group leaders will explain their answers.

 What is the importance of ICT?
 What is the significance of global communication?
 As an ICT student, what will be your contribution to the community?
 How to use ICT smartly to improve learning?
C. Abstraction
 Define ICT
 Discuss the knowledge and understanding of ICT for education
D. Assessment
 Create a reflection paper on the nature of ICT in the context of their lives,
society, and professional tracks
