Duw20 txms & rxms
The DUW20 has 5 Resource_id that can be
combined and allocated in the following way:
• (up to) 3 for HS
• (up to) 1 for EUL
• (up to) 3 for DCH. Minimum one
resource_id needed for DCH.
The RBS 3418 can handle maximum 15 HS
Codes per HSCodeResource
The RBS6601 can handle maximum 30 HS
Codes per HSCodeResource

RBS6601 Configuration
LicensE-Virtual Fingerprint
› Virtual Fingerprint:
– In an RBS with Digital Unit WCDMA (DUW), there is no baseband backplane.
– Therefore, the RBS initial node identity is created at the first start of the node in the factory.
– This identity is distributed and stored on several Plug In Units (PIUs) in the node.
– If there is one DUW and no or only one PIU is installed in a node, the selected node ID changes
every time the DUW hard drive is formatted.
– The fingerprint of a node is visible in OSS but also in the node in the MOC Licensing MOattribute named fingerprint.
– When the duw has to be changed in an existing site, the figerprint of the old duw is overwritten
into the new duw because the rrus kept the old fingerprint in their memory.
– There is a file in the node where the fingerprint id is stored, this file is editable ( internal only )

LicensE-Integration Unlock
Integration Unlock WCDMA: (not in P7, available in W11)
• Integration Unlock is a function within License Control that can be
used if the operator needs to make all capacity and all features
available for a node before the official License Key File has been
delivered.
• It makes all capacities and features in the node available for a
period of 7 days. It can be used once per node, after that time it is
not possible to activate it again in that node
• Integration unlock can be invoked manually using the COLI
command license iu activate in the node. To check how many
days are left, the command license iu status can be used.

Radio Building Blocks (RBB)
› A Radio Building Block (RBB) is a unique way of combining
RUs or RRUs in one sector. The RBB defines the capacity for
a sector and the connections to the antenna system and the
Digital Units (DUs).
› RBBs are named as follows: RBB[Tx][Rx]_[C][V], where:
– Tx Number of TX branches
– Rx Number of RX branches (excluding co-siting RX ports)
– C Number of CPRI links
– V Version

Digital building block (dbb)
› Each DBB defines a unique way of combining DUs with connections
between DUs and RBBs.
› DBBs are named as follows: DBB[X][Y]_[ZZ], where:
› X Number of DUs
› Y Number of CPRI links for DU-DU interconnection
› ZZ Number that represents the CPRI port configuration
