The Operations Manager at CNH acts as a liaison between senior leadership at the CNH DOTM, and
BMT, as well as leading, mentoring, coaching, and supervising the BMT EVOs. Ensure the highest level
of professionalism, and quality is maintained by the EVOs, and that the ambulances are in a constant
state of operational readiness. It will be the Operations Managers' responsibility to ensure there is always
adequate staffing to meet the DTOM stated shift matrix. Attend regular employee and management
meetings held for the Department of Transport Medicine. Assist in the development and implementation
of standard operating practices, policies, and procedures. Ensure that all medic units are in constant
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ensure that the CNH EVO schedule is completed
and full at all times for a minimum of four weeks in the future. Ensure that all EVOs are properly trained
and educated on any and all operations regarding CNH/DOTM and BMT; perform retraining as necessary.
Oversee all aspects of the maintenance of the ambulances, ensuring that they are regularly serviced no
less than every 10k miles for a complete PM by the mechanic and the mechanic does a DOT at least twice
weekly. Investigate any modem failures, and either correct and or replace the modem with a working
modem. Investigate all reported ambulance deficiencies, and take the appropriate corrective action,
as well as report the corrected action. BMT Safety Training as Necessary. Interact with DOTM senior
management in a respective and professional manner, addressing their concerns in a timely manner
and/or notifying a member of BMT senior management of assistance needed within 24 hours. Conduct
disciplinary actions for employees who violate or do not uphold the policies and procedures set forth by
Butler Medical Transport and Children's National Medical Center. Maintain an open line of communication
and accessibility by phone or pager during your entire 24 hours. Responsible for the procurement of
operational equipment or supplies; and for ensuring adequate stocks are maintained. Responsible to
attend biweekly meetings with the CNH DOTM leadership to ensure operational preparedness.
