EFB Document Library Customization
Users are reminded to respect the ownership and copyrights of document owners when using
this feature of the EFB simulation.
By default, the EFB Document Library contains only PMDG documents specific to the aircraft
type such as the PMDG Introduction Manual, the PMDG EFB Manual and any Tutorials available
for the aircraft type.
The user may customize the EFB Document Library by adding additional documents of his choice
by placing PDF files in predefined directories. These PDF files should be placed in subdirectories
under:
[Root Sim Folder]\PMDG\EFB\EFB Documents Library
Any documents placed in a subdirectory named “Common” will be included in the EFB
DOCUMENTS LIBRARY screen of any aircraft that has the EFB option installed.
Any PDF files placed in subdirectories named after specific aircraft types (e.g. “747-8” for the
PMDG 747-8 aircraft) will be listed in the DOCUMENTS LIBRARY screen of only the
corresponding aircraft type. Additional folders may be created under the above subdirectories
to further group documents.
The DOCUMENTS LIBRARY screen will initially display:
• the default PMDG documents
• all PDF documents found in the Common and Aircraft folders
• any subdirectories names found in these two folders.
Example:
Subdirectories names will be indicated by “…” and when selected will display all the PDF
documents they contain (and/or any additional subdirectories). You can always return to the
parent folder of a subdirectory by using the back key on the EFB bezel.
If there are more than 10 documents/subdirectories to be displayed, you can use the
PGDN/PGUP keys on the EFB bezel to navigate.
