PARTICIPANT WORKBOOK 2023 Creation of Curriculum Statement The 2023 FLE Retreat Curriculum was developed with in partnership between The University of Mississippi and Teresia Greer LLC. Both parties are committed to continuing the training and development of students and furthering the fraternal movement. The development of this curriculum is the direct byproduct of the experiences and training of The University of Mississippi staff and Teresia Greer LLC. All activities and curated portions of this curriculum include citations and/or have been attained by certification of The University of Mississippi and/or Teresia Greer LLC. 1 As a result of participating in the Fraternal Leadership Experience, students will: 1. Gain an understanding of FSL community stakeholders. 2. Demonstrate an understanding of their positional role in the larger community by developing goals for their respective leadership position. 3. Explore the definition of Values-Based Organizations and the role their values play in leadership. 4. Identify their talents and strengths using StrengthsFinder and leverage their leadership style to achieve success. List your Core Values Describe how your Greek Membership influence or activate your core values 15 Large Group Session #6: Open Space Technology Open Space Technology is a unique approach to organizing meetings that shift the focus of control for the content and direction of the meeting to the participants. That means YOU get to dictate what you learn during these sessions. Participants will write down a topic they want to learn more about or one they would like to teach others about. These sessions are aimed to empower you to educate and learn from your peers. What you get out of this is entirely up to you. The staff will be present in each room to take notes of what is discussed, but they will only provide input when directly asked. Their role is to capture the key points of the discussion and later consolidate all the notes, so you can have access to the key points from every session after FLE concludes.
