The exact date you start will depend on which stage or year group you teach, whether you use Cambridge Progression Tests and/or Checkpoint and when your academic year starts. Check your relevant start date by viewing our interactive guide at www.cambridgeinternational. org/primary-lower-secondary-changes 2022 2023 First NEW CAMBRIDGE PROGRESSION TESTS First NEW CAMBRIDGE CHECKPOINT TESTS From 2022 onwards, our new Cambridge Progression Tests will become available every year instead of every three years. The first new Cambridge Checkpoint tests, to assess learners’ knowledge and understanding of the new curricula, will take place in 2023. Marked by teachers in your school you can use them to check learners’ progress in Stages 3 through to 9. Instead of our current model that assesses three stages, these new tests will only apply to the final stage of Cambridge Primary (Stage 6) or Lower Secondary (Stage 9). Which Stage or year do you teach? Stage 1-2 Stage 3-9 Will you use Cambridge Progression Tests? There are no Cambridge Primary Progression Tests or Checkpoint for Stages 1 or 2, so you can start to teach the new Curriculum Frameworks when you are ready from 2021.
