More than 70 species of tobacco are known, but the chief commercial crop is Tabacum. The more potent variant Rustica is also used in some countries. Dried tobacco leaves are mainly used for smoking in cigarettes and cigars, as well as pipes and shishas. They can also be consumed as snuff, chewing tobacco, dipping tobacco, and snus. Tobacco contains highly addictive nicotine as well as harmala alkaloids. Tobacco use is a cause or risk factor for many deadly diseases, especially those affecting the heart, liver, and lungs, as well as many cancers. In 2008, the World Health Organization named tobacco use as the world's single greatest preventable cause of death. Usage Of Tobacco Tobacco are predominant use for cigarettes and other smoking products. Tobacco has always been considered as a medical plant because before it was used as a smoking material, its has been used as a traditional medicine for common illnesses. Like tobacco smoked was used to treat earaches. Side Effects Of Tobacco Nicotine in Tobacco is highly addictive. It makes your brain release a chemical called dopamine. Dopamine is a ‘feel good chemical that: makes you feel happy helps you to concentrate gives you more energy. But these chemicals are not good for health it can cause of cancer, heart attack, and liver failure and they also use for many other different drugs which are more harmful then cigarettes The demand of Cigarettes In Pakistan Pakistan has a large population of tobacco users, with about 24 million adults consuming tobacco products in one form or another. Pakistan is among the high-burden countries with respect to the prevalence of tobacco use and its suggestions for public health. According to the Global Adult Tobacco Survey 2014, 19.1% of adults in Pakistan used tobacco in any form, which translates into a population of about 24 million adults. Cigarettes are an addiction that people can not stop buying except there are other factors that affect it. For Example, Pakistan’s Economical Situations are not stable. There are various time increases in the prices of commodities and taxes ratio. If the pack of cigarette price is 60rs then a person smoke 9 cigarettes in a day. The Government increases tax on the cigarettes and now the price of the cigarettes is 90 rs now the person change their smoking habit rather they smoke 9 cigarettes they are starting smoking 6 cigarettes after times ago government increased the tax again then that person can’t afford it and it’s an addiction so that person are trying to move to any other brand which absolute their satisfaction. It clearly shows that the consumption of the cigarettes depends upon the price of the cigarettes and income of the consumer. Because it’s an addiction so consumer may be switch to any other brand or may be less their consumption . If comparison of demand of cigarettes in Pakistan and many other countries. Then there are different kind of demand of cigarettes because every country have different rule and regulation related tobacco industry in many country Cigarettes are banned and many other countries you can’t smoke openly and in front of any other person whom is non smoker . Different Cigarettes Companies have different demand . Because every cigarette Company have different Target Audience . For Example : There are Two Famous Cigarette Brand In Pakistan one is Dun hill and Captain they both having Different target market because dun hill are expensive in cigarettes Brand and
