6 Kahulugan (Meaning)
● Interpretasyon - of printed mental symbols

● Proseso - of receiving and interpreting information encoded in the form of language
used as a medium
● Inter-aksiyon - of writer and reader
● Psycholinguistic Guessing Game - author + scheme = significant interpretation
● Pagkokonstrak - of meaning through the dynamic inter-action of schema, textual
information, and context
● Kognitibong - process of decoding symbols for the construction of meaning
4 Aspektpo sa Pagbasa
● Pisyolohikal - involves the eyes being used to see and identify and recognize images
and symbols
○ Fixation - staring eyes to recognize and understand the text
○ Inter Fixation - movement of our eyes from left to right or from top to bottom that
usually happens while we are reading
○ Return Sweeps - movement of the eyes from the beginning of the reading to the
end of the texts
○ Regression - going back and forth in the text to check what is being read
● Kognitibo - form the symbols that the eyes focus on
● Komunikatibo - language as a communication tool
● Panlipunan - information we get from what we read around us
