V. Project Description:
PROJECT COVID: Development of Comprehensive Offline and Online Learning
Madapdap Resettlement High School through the collaborative effort of the Math
Teachers of Mathematics Department School Year 2020-2021 will launch a Project
Proposal Spearheaded by the Math Department itself, which aim to provide different
teaching materials/innovations needed by the students or which suits their needs in
times of the crisis (COVID19). Due to the increasing number of confirmed cases of
COVID19 in the Philippines, face to face classes (Normal Classroom Set-up) will not
be advisable. So to be able to cope up with this problem, the Mathematics
Department has come up with this project. This project will be accomplished through
the combined efforts of the mathematics teachers to perform the Online education,
Offline Education and Producing or Develop a Visual (Modular)/Video Tutorial.
Online Education- It is an initiative to provide learning through the use of the internet
where students can access all possible learning in the internet with proper instruction
and guidance of the respective teacher. Each year level from Grade 7 to Grade 10
will produce an activity/ learning through online such as video tutorial where can
directly upload to the most reachable social media like facebook and youtube.
Student can directly access the video tutorial and other activities that can easily
access by the students in just a click. The primary objective of the video tutorial is to
give a direct presentation and discussion of the lesson with follow- up activities for
them to practice at home as an application to what they have learned from the video.
During Online, each section will be given an opportunity to meet their teacher once a
week for them to monitor their status if they are doing good or to identify their
struggle so that teacher can easily make a solution to attend the problem of the
students.
An offline education is an avenue for some students to continue and their schooling
even without the internet connection. The teacher made Module will be provided to
each student with short discussion of the lesson and a follow-up activity at the end of
every objective lesson. The module will be given to the student as they meet in the
school once a week and at the same time to collect all activities done by the
students. Aside from the module, a video tutorial can be saved in USB so that
students can play it at home on their TV or DVD with USB HUB. The content of the
video is the same as the module but in the video it is a discussion of the lesson.
PROJECT COVID: Development of Comprehensive Offline and Online Learning
Most of the Students in Madapdap Resettlement High School are living inside
Madapdap area. Transportation is not a problem for them to go to school based on
their schedule once a week.
A Produce or Develop Visual (Module/Video) are the materials that can be used
during online and offline education in mathematics from First Quarter to Fourth
Quarter S.Y 2020-2021. The implementation of the project needs the cooperation of
the students and the support of the parents.
