The Neolithic revolution began at
different areas near bodies of water
separately over a long amount of time
and diffused inward to landlocked
places
Western Europe to the rest of Europe to
the USA to rest of the world
The Neolithic was a major marker in
history. It was when people started to
settle in areas and learned how to
farm.
It increased agricultural yields per acre
using fertilizers and improved collars for
draft animals to pull heavier plows

Where did it begin,
and where did it
diffuse?
What was the
revolution and how
did it affect food
production?
It increased reliable food supplies,
which means skills related to
agriculture increased which caused a
gain of control in production
Rapid increase in total human
population, Job specialization and
widening of gender differences.
What impacts did
this revolution
have on human
societies?
Commercial farmers had access to
machinery and scientific advancements
which made it easier to farm more
efficiently
Increase in jobs and nutrients which
boosted population in England along
with the rest of world
3rd Agricultural Revolution
Green Revolution
Mid 20th century
1970s
The USA and went to the rest of the
world but mainly in Asia
Began in the western world and spread
to Sub-saharan Africa.
The revolution was about crop growth
and how efficient it could be. They
found that you could make a hybrid of
2 crops or change which increased the
food population across the world.
The revolution is high usage of fertilizers
and high yield seed to make farming
more efficient. In many places this
helped countries with food shortages.
The revolution caused a spike in bio
technology since the world was in
need of more food because the
increasing population also slowed
down the need for food across the
world.
The revolution helped starving countries
around the world to grow crops but hurt
some countries like some in sub-saharan
africa due to it causing overgrazing and
desertification and erosion in the area
causing massive damage to the
environment.
