Introduction CATS Aero College (formerly known as Cebu Aeronautical Technical School) was established on 1953. It is the second oldest aviation school in the country and the first to be established outside Manila. Started with a two-course program, now has expanded to five which are recognized by CHED, TESDA, and CAAP (formerly ATO). For 69 years, this institution had produced over several hundreds of knowledgeable, well-skilled, and morally upright airmen who are now employed on reputable aviation companies all around the world. For 69 years, it changed a lot of lives, and during that same number of years, one problem still exists up to now. CATS Aero College’s problem is the extreme heat in the classroom. It is observed that most classrooms are only equipped with two – three electric fans and not all of them are functioning properly. It is coherent that these electric fans are not enough to provide the suitable academic environment for students. Since the Earth is experiencing rapid climate change, the temperature from 1953 up to present had significantly increase, the estimated increase per decade is 0.15 – 0.20°C. According from the study “The Effects of Summer Heat on Academic Achievement: A Cohort Analysis (Hyun Kuk Cho, 2017)”, extreme heat can negatively impact the performance of students academically. Similar researches had been done and results shows that heat has a negative impact on the cognitive ability of students. Another underlying issue that extreme heat can cause is that negative effects it has on the human health. This effect on the human health puts the lives of students as well as faculties and staffs at risk. With temperatures peaking at 102.0°F or 38.9°C in Cebu, one can only imagine the detrimental effects and the discomfort it can cause to students as well as the school’s staffs. It is recommended that students and staffs must equipped with items that provide cooling such as fans or liquids to bring down the human temperature. Since there is a scarcity of electric fans, one must have a fan to at least bring down a heat. The moving air caused by the fan with your repeated motions helps your skin to evaporate the sweat at a faster rate. This can help to lower the body temperature. Drinking liquids also alleviates the harsh temperature in classrooms. Essentially, heat dehydrates body, which in turn reduces blood flow, and increase body temperature. So, by quenching your thirst, blood flow increases and that makes the body lower its temperature. This paper will be divided into several sections including the Executive Summary and this Introductory part. Next, is the Analysis, in this section, the researchers will give a detailed examination of a topic. This involves proper research and dissecting results into smaller, logical topics to form conclusions. The next section is Alternatives, this section talks about finding an alternative aside from the main recommendation if decision-makers decides to find an alternative. After this section is Recommendation and Implementation Plan, this section ensures that the researchers are able to answer the who, what, where, when, how, and why questions of the research before advancing to the execution phase. This section is important because it contains vital information on how to execute the plan. The sixth section is Conclusion, the researchers would remind the readers of the contents and importance of the research paper. After this is the Exhibit, this section gives supplementary information or evidences to support the recommendation. Lastly, is the References.
