mathematical functions in excel.
3. Tables ,Graphs and charts can also be
prepared on excel.

Excel enables you to create
many formulas by simply typing
in a cell or using your mouse
pointer to select
cells to include in a formula.
For example: you can create
basic formulas for +, -, x, and /
using these methods.

Example multiply two numbers 5 and 7.
Steps:
1. Click and Select cell F8
2. Type equals to sign (=) in the cell i.e. F8
3. Write 5 and insert multiply sign (*)
4. Now type 7 and press enter.
5. The answer 35 will display in cell F8

You just entered a formula Click cell F8. Notice
that the result of the formula displays in the cell,
but the formula itself appears in the formula bar

6. Double-click cell A1. The formula appears in
both the active cell and the formula bar. You can
edit the formula in this mode.
7. On the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing
group, click Show Formulas. The formula in cell
F8 displays.
8. In this way we can perform all the arithmetic

9. If there will be more operators to be performed on
operands just put parentheses around the number
e.g. (a*b)-c , where a,b,c are the numbers.

Total Sum:
Now in order to take total sum or to calculate total
price of all furniture items in our case.
Steps:
1. Select cell F10.
2. Go on Formula display on command bar.
3. Click on AutoSum and select sum.
4.You will get the total sum in Last cell i.e. F10.
