The Opposition
Benin is currently going through a
parliamentary election which closes Jan. 11th.
This election is crucial for many people and the
country's furture
This is the first time since 2019 they are on the
ballot. This is crucial so that the opposistion has
an oppurtunity to run for President in 2026
What's the Concern?
The Future of Elections
Although Benin has bounced back from pandemic
stressors to their economy, there are now concerns
for security as terrorist attacks spike in neighboring
countries and the war in Ukraine.

Constitutional Court ends this year which
oversees elections, so there are concerns about
the integrity of future elections.
