1. In the video "Children's Attachment Theory and How to Use it”, the acronym PACE is given
for 4 ideas to promote secure attachment. Expound on each word represented by this
acronym in at least 2 sentences each, as it relates to most effectively support your students'

2. In at least 2 sentences, briefly explain the significance of each of the 4 components of
attachment, expounding on each - proximity maintenance, safe haven, secure base,
separation distress - according to the multimedia components (reading and audio-visual
content). (200 words)
3. Focus the bulk of your assignment on this question. In the last short video of this
module, Ron Clark discusses (and demonstrates) multiple ingredients of success in teaching
students. Although he has now co-founded a private school, the principles he shares can be
practiced at any school. (350 words)
a.) Please name at least 3 of these principles of success that Ron Clark shares.
b.) For each of these principles, how might you apply them in reaching and teaching students
who have insecure attachment styles, for their optimal development and learning? Discuss in
detail and elaborate on the principles you have highlighted and gleaned from the video,
applying them to your considerations and teaching practices. Feel free to include personal
anecdotes.
