• Ewe Ayunre, the leaves of albizia spp., leguminosae

PREPARATION
The leaves will be burnt into charcoal. The charcoal will be
grinded into powder. The powder will be used to imprint
Ogbe-Ate (Ogbe Irete). The incantation below will be recited
into it. The person willing to use this will make incisions
round his/her two wrists. The powder will be used to rub
the incision marks. All the negative things which normally
prevent medicines that one prepares with ones hands will be
eliminated.

INGREDIENTS
• Eku eme asoose,
• Abe oro kan, oro icon (oro blade)
• Ika inaki, the middle finger of an ape
PREPARATION
Burn the three ingredients together into charcoal. Grind the
charcoal into powder. Make incisions round the two wrists. Use
the powder to rub the incision marks. While rubbing the powder
into the incision this person will be saying:
Ilu o nii tobi k’ipa oro o ma kaa
Elegbede o nii lu igi ko ma roo
Translation
No matter how large a town maybe, the authority of Oro will
have effect throughout the land
The ape will never beat any three for it not to produce sound
Doing this, will make all what we do to work effectively.
• OOGUN PREPARATION TO MAKE IPESE FOR
THE ELDERS OF THE NIGHT TO BE ACCEPTED
INGREDIENT
• Ibepe ti awọn eye je ku sori igi re, the pawpaw that the
birds had pecked while still on the pawpaw tree
• Ogede ti awọn eye je ku sori igi re, the banana that the
birds had pecked while still on the banana tree
• Odidi ataare kan, one whole alligator pepper
PREPARATION
Burn the three ingredients together. Grind into powder. Pour
the powder into a small gaurge. When you prepare any
Ipese for the elders of the night, add a little of the powder to
it. The Ipese will be accepted by the elders.
• IFA FOR PREPARING EṢU YANGI THAT IS
NORMALLY SENT ON ERRANDS
INGREDIENTS
• Ewe abamọda
• Imi ojo, sulphur
• Yangi,
• Akuko, rooster
PREPARATION
Crush the abamọda in water. Use it to wash the yangi
properly. Grind imi ọjọ into powder. Use the imi ọjọ to imprint
Ogunda bede. Recite the Odu incantation into it. Dig a small
hole on the ground where the Eṣu will be. Put all the
abamọda leaves that had been crushed in water into the
hole. Slaughter the rooster. Put the blood on top of the
yangi. Add the head to the abamọda leaves in the hole. Pour
the sulphur on top of the yangi and also in the ground. Place
the yangi on top of everything. The moment this is done, the
Eṣu is ready to be sent on any errand.

Wherever I send you, you must go
There is no morning that the sun will not appear in the
sky
It is the proposal of abamọda that the Oriṣa accept
When the rooster crows
It will show road to those who had missed their ways
• OOGUN PREPARATION TO ATTRACT CLIENTELE
INGREDIENTS
• Ọmọ onile, one wall gecko
• Lavender
PREPARATION
Put one live wall gecko into a bottle. Pour plenty of lavender
into it. The lavender will be used as body spray or
perfume. Whoever uses this will discover that many clients
are attracted to him/her.
• IFA PREPARATION FOR RESPECT AND HONOUR
INGREDIENTS
• Awo Ẹwiri, the hide of a blacksmith’s blower
• Iyẹpẹ oju awọ Agbẹdẹ, the soil particles of a blacksmith’s
furnace
PREPARATION
The soil particles coming out of the blacksmith’s furnace will
be collected and be grinded into a fine powder. The dust will
then be imprinted with Ọyẹku-Meji. The incantation stated
below will be recited into it. The hide will then be knitted into
a pouch or a small purse. The dust will be put into the pouch
or purse and sealed up. The person who needs it will put
it on his/her body and be carrying it about. It is advisable
to make it a very small pouch or purse in order for it to be
easy to carry about.

• IFA PREPARATION FOR RESPECT AND HONOUR
• Ogede omini 4, 8,12 or 16 ripe bananas
• Iyẹrosun, baphia nitida lodd., leguminosae papilionoideae
PREPARATION
Iyẹrosun will be used to imprint Otura Ogbe inside a white
plate or Ifa tray. The incantation stated below will be recited.
The person who wishes to use this preparation will peel 4, 8,
12, or 16 ripe bananas, depending on the amount of
bananas that he/she can consume at a sitting. He/she will
then use the bananas to consume the Iyẹrosun.

INGREDIENTS
• Ọmọ onile, one wall gecko(the tail must not be allowed to
cut)
• Irun Afin, the hair of an albino
• Akara Oja ti o mupo daradara. Plenty of akara, bean cake
that was fried with palm oil inside the market. The Akara
must be fried inside the market and it must be with
palm oil. It must also be well soaked inside the palm
oil.
PREPARATION
The three items will be burnt into charcoal. Please note that
hair of the albino must be put inside the container that is
being used to burn the ingredients after the two other
ingredients are almost burnt to charcoal. The charcoal will be
grinded into fine powder. Imprint Eji-Ogbe on the powder
and the person who needs it will be using it to rub
his/her head from the forehead to the back of the skull
bit by bit on a regular basis.

INGREDIENTS
• Obi Abata, plenty of kola nuts (very dry ones)
• Eko tutu, corn meal
PREPARATION
Grind the dry kola nuts into a very fine powder. Use the
powder to imprint Eji-Ogbe on Ifa tray or a white flat plate.
Recite the incantation below. Pour it into a container and use
one teaspoon with cold porridge regularly on Tuesdays.

PREPARATION
The four items will be burnt together into charcoal. The
charcoal will be grinded into powder. The powder will be
used to imprint Eji Ogbe on Ifa tray or white flat plate. The
powder will then be poured into a bottle calabash (ado
Ijamo). A little bit of the powder will be poured into water for
bathing. Please note: a, the bottle calabash must not touch
the ground again; and b, when this preparation is to be used,
no soap must be used along with it.

• Ewe owo, the leave of brillantaisia nitens landau,
acanthaceae
PREPARATION
Grind the leaves into a fine paste. Put the paste into a small
clay pot and use it to cook the three ant queens and the two
striped frogs. Add palm oil and salt to taste and as
appropriate. Use Iyẹrosun to imprint Eji Ogbe on Ifa tray or a
white flat plate and recite the Odu below. Pour the Iyẹrosun
inside the soup. Wash your Ikin-Ifa very clean with oti. Pour
the herbal soup into the Ifa and leave it there till the next
day. The soup will then be eaten inside the Ifa bowl very
early in the morning.

• IFA PREPARATION FOR STRONG ERECTION
INGREDIENTS
a. Ako okuta, quartz stone
• Etu ibon, gun powder
• Ori Ijapa, the head of a land tortoise
• Ewe opapara, the leaves of stachytarheta indica (L.) vahl.,
verbenaceae
• Ose dudu, Black soap
• The stick that was stuck into an Okete, giant rat from the
market.
• Iyẹrosun, baphia nitida lodd., leguminosae papilionoideae
PREPARATION
The four materials will be grinded together into a fine paste
and mixed with soap. The soap will be attached to a stick
that was stuck into an Okete giant rat (The rat will be
removed, only the stick will be used). Iyẹrosun will be used
to imprint Odi-Oyeku and the incantation below will be
recited into the Iyẹrosun. The Iyẹrosun will then be mixed
with the soap. The person will be using the soap to wash
his penis two times in a day, preferably morning and
night.

• Isasun kekere, a small clay pot
PREPARATION
The snails will be boiled with water and be removed from the
shell after boiling. A knife made with bamboo or palm frond
or raffia palm will be used to cut the snail flesh into 16 parts.
Knife must not be used to cut it. The aluro leaves and
iyere spice will be grinded together and put in a small clay
pot. The snail flesh will be added to it. It will be cooked. Salt
and palm oil will be added to it as appropriate. When well
cooked, it will be left to cool. Iyẹrosun will then be imprinted
with Ofun Meji and the incantation below will be recited into
it. The Iyẹrosun will then be added into the soup. The soup
will then be consumed by the person who needed it.

PREPARATION
The two ingredients will be burnt together into a charcoal. It
must not be allowed to burn to ashes. The charcoal will then be
grinded into a fine powder. The person who wishes to use it will
make three incisions with a sharp blade on his lower back
below the waist line. He can also ask someone to help him
make the incision. The powder will then be used to rub the
incision mark.

kernel oil will then be gathered and put inside another
container. The woman who needs this will drink the herb
tea one cup two times a day and use the palm kernel oil to
rub her breast regularly. All the germs will die.

into fine powder. Usage: if the powder to be used, some
of it will be poured into the bare floor, Obara Ika will be
imprinted into it. Then the incantation below will be
recited. After that, palm oil will be added to it. The palm
oil and the powder will be mixed together, it will be
licked on the bare floor. The remaining powder will be
poured into a seere. It is from this bottle calabash that the
powder will be poured on the floor anytime it is to be used.

incantation below will be recited into it. We will break two
bittler kolas for the medicines. We will now pour the powder
inside as many bottle calabashes (seere) as can contain the
Ifa preparations. We will then slaughter the ram and the
rooster and pour the blood on the seere, making sure that
the blood does not touch the powder inside the seere. The
ram and rooster will be cooked and part of them will be used
to feed Ifa. Again, two bitterkolas will be used to feed Sango
and two kolanuts will be used to feed Ifa. The seere will be
removed the next day. Note: this Ifa preparation can only
be use at night with cold porridge. It must never be used
for more than two times in a year. It is too powerful to be
used more frequently than that.

goat or a he goat.
PREPARATION
The four feet will be put inside a clay pot. The pot will be
placed on fire and the animal’s feet will be burnt into a
charcoal. The charcoal will be grinded into a fine powder.
Incisions will be made in all the affected parts of the
body of the person suffering from stroke. The powder
will be rubbed into the incisions. Doing this will bring life
back into the body of the person suffering from stroke.

PREPARATION
Remove all the seed inside the bara and peel the skin. Drop
the rest inside the clay pot containing the sekete beer. Put
the pot on fire and cook for about one hour. Add a little
potassium potash. The herb tea must not be allowed to spill
over while it was being cooked. The patient will drink one
tot glass every 48 hours for 50 days.

PREPARATION
Pound the pineapple and extract the juice, also pound the
cucumber and extract the juice. Pour the pineapple juice into a
clay cooking pot and put it on fire for about thirty minutes. After
this, add the juice extracted from the cucumber to it and boil
together for about 10 minutes. After this add the alcohol to it on
fire and boil everything for another 15 minutes. Remove the pot
on fire and allow the content in it to cool down. Put the mixture in
a container. The patient will take one table spoon full every
morning and night.

THE BOWEL
INGREDIENTS
• Ata ijosi pupa, zanthoxylum senegalense dc., rutaceae
• Opolopo eko tutu, plenty of cold corn meal
• Iyo, table salt
• Oje oro alagogo, the sap extracted from euphobia
kamerunica pax., euphobiaceae
PREPARATION
The pepper will be grinded into a fine paste. The eko will be
mixed with water and the pepper will be added to it. The sap from
the cactus plant will be added to it. The clay cooking pot
containing the ingredients will be put on fire to boil for about 40 to
50 minutes. After this, the mixture will be spread on something
like metal sheath to sun dry it. When it has become dry, it will be
grinded into a fine powder. The powder will be poured into a
container for safe keeping. To use this, the patient will prepare
very hot porridge and mix one level table spoon into the hot
porridge. This will be taking at one sitting. The patient will
also prepare another very cold porridge and will be taking
the cold porridge little by little. Within two hours of taking this
Oogun, the patient will begin to visit the toilet and he/she will be
stooling repeatedly. All the impurities residing inside the patient
will be flushed out. However, if the stooling had become too
frequent and the person is becoming weak, all that he/she needs
to do is to return to the bathroom and open the shower on his/her
head to take a full bath under the shower for about 10 to 15
minutes. Doing this will stop the stooling.

PREPARATION
The flesh of the land snail will be removed from the shell of
the snail without breaking the shell. All the internal organs
will be removed and kept aside. Ewe aje, ewe
omonigelegele, sea sand and lagoon sand will be grinded
together and be devided into two. The first part will be mixed
with soap together with the internal organs of the snail. The
soap will be returned to the shell of the land snail. The other
half will be put inside a pot together with the flesh of the
snail. Palm oil and a little salt will be added to taste. It will
then be cooked like a normal soup. Iyẹrosun will be used to
imprint Ose Meji inside Ifa tray and the incantation will be
recited. After this, part of the Iyẹrosun will be added to the
soup while the rest will be mixed with the soap inside the
shell. The soup will be eaten at once while the soap will
be used regularly until it is finished.

PREPARATION
The Ikin and ataare will be burnt into charcoal. The charcoal
will be grinded together with all the other ingredients (except
the hen and the ado) into fine powder. The powder will be
used to imprint Oyeku Meji on an Ifa tray or a white flat
plate. After the incantation has been recited, the powder will
be poured inside the ado medicine container. The ado will be
placed on top of the Ifa of the person who wants to use it.
The hen will be slaughtered and the blood will be drained on
the ado inside the Ifa bowl, making sure that the blood does
not touch the powder inside the ado. USAGE: put a little of
the powder in the hand of the person who wants to use it.
Use the powder to touch the tongue and recite the Odu
incantation again. When it is finished, the saliva will be
spitted on Ifa.

PREPARATION
The two leaves will be grinded together into fine paste. The
paste will be divided into two. One part will be mixed with
soap. The other part will be put inside a small clay pot. One
of the pigeons will be slaughtered on Ifa. the feathers will be
removed and it will be placed in the pot and be cooked. Salt
and palm oil will be added as appropriate. Iyẹrosun will be
used to imprint Iwori Meji on Ifa tray or a white flat plate.
The Odu incantation above will be recited into it. The
Iyẹrosun will then be poured on the herbal soup. The other
pigeon will be slaughtered on Ifa. the chest will be sliced
open and the soap will be placed on the chest. Another
Iyẹrosun will be imprinted with Iwori Meji and the incantation
will be recited. The Iyẹrosun will this time be poured on the
soap and pigeon.
The person for whom this Ifa preparation will then go to
where there is an anthill in the forest. The person will go with
about 25 litres of fresh water for bathing. He/she will break
the head of the anthill and stand on top of it. As soon as the
ants begin to come out, he/she will begin to bath, using the
pigeon as a sponge. As soon as he/she finishes bathing,
he/she will drop the pigeon inside the head of the anthill that
he/she had earlier broken. This person will return home.
When he/she gets to the house, he/she will eat the soup that
had earlier been prepared with the first pigeon.
Very early the following day, this person will go to the place
where he/she had taken his/her bath. He will look at the hole
that he’she had made on the anthill where he/she dropped

of the fish outside. The head will be pointing upwards. That is the
way the fish head will be until the soap is completely finished. The
soap will be used to bath daily.

PREPARATION
Carefully crack a tiny hole on the head of the fresh egg. Use
a needle to insert the nine ailu leaves and the nine grains of
alligator pepper in alternating way. After this, insert the
cowry shell into the egg. Look for something like polythene
of nylon to cover the egg where it was broken. Look for three
small pebbles to serve as support for the egg and place the
egg in a small clay pot and boil it with a little water.
Very early the next day, the shell of the egg will be
removed and be given to the woman to eat. When her
teeth touch the cowry, she will remove it. Both the shell
of the egg and the cowry will be put inside a cotton wool
and it will be wrapped tightly with white and black
thread. This band will be kept somewhere in the house
where it will be left dangling. As soon as the pregnancy
reaches the ninth month, the cotton wool will be
removed and opened. The shell and the cowry will be
thrown away. The pregnant women will have a safe delivery
and she will not have any miscarriage.

PREPARATION
Gather plenty of earthworms into a bottle container. Grind
the red stone into fine powder and pour it into the bottle
container. Add plenty of ataare to it. Mix everything together.
Before long, all the earthworms will desolve into water.
When a pregnant woman falls into labour, she will be
given seven or nine grains of the ataare to eat. While
eating the ataare, she will be saying: “the earthworm will
never give obeisance to mother earth for her not to open
for the worm to pass through”. Before long, the woman’s
birth canal will open and she will deliver without
complications.

be left for 24 hours. After this, the water will be taken with
a glass tot 6 to 8 times a day.

PREPARATION
The ataare will be deposited into a bottle container. The bile
of the he-goat will be poured into it. The patient having the
problem of stomach disorder will be asked to swallow
two grains of the alligator pepper anytime he/she feels
the disorder.

The two ingredients will be grinded together into fine paste.
The paste will be roll into many tiny balls and will be dried in
the sun. The patient having the problem of stomach disorder
will take one of the balls and dissolve it into warm water.
He/she will drink the water three to four times a day.
• INCANTATION FOR STOMACH DISORDER
INGREDIENT
• Eyo ataare meje abi mesan, seven or nine grains of
alligator pepper
PREPARATION
Chew seven grains of alligator pepper if the patient is a
woman. Chew nine grains if the patient is a man. The
patient will expose his/her navel and the incantation will
be recited while the person doing this will be chewing
the alligator pepper. At the end of the incantation the
saliva will be spit on the patient navel. Doing this, will
make the stomach disorder to subside. It is also
possible for the patient himself/herself to recite the
incantation by himself/herself. While chewing the
alligator pepper, he/she will be reciting the Ofo on the
middle finger of his/her left hand. The alligator pepper
will be spit on the finger and the finger will be used to
rub the navel. The stomach disorder will subside.

one grain of alligator pepper into each imprint of the
Odu. Recite the Odu below on behalf of the person who
is in captivity either the person is kidnapped or is in
detention. After this, collect all the Iyẹrosun, Obi and
Ataare and put them in a cotton wool. Wrap and tie
the cotton wool together with white and black
thread. Place the tied band on Esu. The person will
be released.
