Psyc 2013 Fall 2021 Grading rubric for CASE STUDY PROJECT
Projects are graded using a scoring guide with 20-point scales that assess aspects of
the case study highlighted below. They are added to yield a score with a maximum
of 100. Each 20-point scale is graded based on viewing 12-13 as D (minimally
passing), 14-15 as C (adequate but with a number of limitations), 16-17 as B (good
in most respects), and 18-20 as A quality work (excellent work with a number of
strengths and few limitations). The dimensions are:
1. Focused introduction to the relevant theory and research, citing textbook,
and derivation of explicit hypotheses from them
2. Sound and substantial research plan with appropriate, well-described
methodology (e.g., questioning strategy)
3. Clearly, fully, and logically reported results
4. Plentiful and sound interpretations explicitly referring to textbook and other
course material to evaluate whether or not hypotheses are supported and to
interpret results; statement of strengths & limitations
5. Clear communication and logical organization of information and thoughts
throughout; proper citation of sources
