Teaching as a career – is it my calling?
Teaching is rather responsible and hard profession. You have to teach a
lot of children and persuade them to study . Moreover, you have to help
them find their personality and understand what they will do in their
future . Our current society can’t exist without teachers . There must be
someone who will explain us how to read , how to write, how we should
react to different situations and so on.
There are some advantages and disadvantages of being a teacher.
Talking about advantages should be mentioned that you study with your
students , you also learn smth new. Then , if you really love children , it
will be interesting for you to communicate with them .
There are also some disadvantages. Being a teacher is complicated ,
you have a huge amount of work to do and material to explain . The
salary is too small , that means you won’t have a possibility to afford
yourself to buy smth expensive, for instance .
When I was a kid I dreamt of being a teacher . I thought it was cool ,
you can be the best teacher at school and every child would love and
respect you . But , I’ve changed my mind . I don’t really want to be a
teacher due to 3 reasons . Firstly , the salary doesn’t satisfy me .
Secondly, I hate children of any age . Thirdly, I don’t have an ability to
explain smth , it’s rather hard for me . I have an experience of being a
tutor . After that I understood that it’s not mine , because a child couldn’t
do any exercise ( I explained him those rule 3 times) .
So, I have enough time to find my calling , but first of all I need to focus
on my studying.
