The Motivator of My Achievement
I’ve known many teachers but I would say that there is someone who made a mark on my
heart. She is my Reading and Phonics teacher when I was in grade 4 until grade 6. Lily is her
name, short and easy to say, but I often call her as Mommy Lily mostly in our training. She is not
just a female teacher but also a coach when I join Radio Broadcasting before. I would say she
was a bit perfect, especially in constructing sentences. If I’m not mistaken, she’s been in service
for years now.
A kind and loving teacher to her many students but I can’t say if you will like her for the
first time, I felt lucky because I was one of her pupils before, and taught us many things just like
how to use correct grammar in constructing sentences. Although I’m lucky to meet her I never
experience how to be in her advisory class. But then it was okay because being with her for half
a year because of training, I’ve met who she is. A woman who is close to perfect, very fluent in
English, and will say some jokes to us while discussing and explaining things to us. I could even
remember the old dictionary on her desk which is a big tool in her class.
Every Monday we will have spelling and constructing sentences. I could say that
she is kind because she will always give examples of sentences to give us ideas and from what I
remember she uses modal verbs in her sentences. One mistake in not using the correct grammar
will not be overlooked by her, as I say she is close to perfect. During our story times before, I
could see her as a terror, especially in recitation because you need to say the right word she is
referring to. If there is one thing I’ve learned from her, work fast to finish your work ahead of time.
One thing that makes her unique is that she works fast and checks all our work. My teacher is not
only good at teaching us English but a good coach and a scriptwriter for any event, she has a
good ear that picks the best student to represent the school, she even has the last say when it
comes to any event.
I can now say that she motivates me in what I do right now, she is not just a teacher to me
but also an inspiration, now the words that she used when she scolds us, that was a motivation
for all of us. Ms. Lily’s motto for us is to make sure that everything you write and say makes sense.
Our second mommy in training and the woman who discover our talents and we owe a lot.
