( if they agree, they will stand up and if they disagree, they will sit down. Teaching Component: 10 minutes MAXIMUM- What NEW knowledge and/or skill will you teach? How? The teacher will share the objectives Then the students will answer the question: What are some of the feelings that you have when someone hurts you or breaks something of yours? Then the teacher will blow some air into a balloon to explain the idea of forgiveness. Development: What will they do? The students will give responses and act some situations out. • Your friend accidentally broke your favourite toy • You did something you feel is very bad (forgiving yourself) • Your brother takes something of yours without asking • Your friend got angry and said something unkind to you and then apologized. • Someone keeps doing something hurtful to you over and over without being sorry* Homework: (or Out-of-School Learning): Plenary: How will the learning be reviewed? ( 5Min.) The student will play the “What would you do?” game and they will respond to the situations by choosing one card. (red-revenge, yellow-ignore, green-forgive) • You just found out that your best friend has been telling everyone your deepest secret. What do you do? • Everyone in class got invited to a party but you didn’t get an invitation. What do you do? • You were playing a board game and lost your temper because you thought someone was cheating. What do you do? • You are in the locker room and your “Friend” keeps picking on you “Jokingly “ in front of everyone. While it’s upsetting you, they apologize.
