Bidder shall have prior experience in manufacture and supply of Fittings
qualifying to SA234. Bids will be considered only for OD, Specification
and Construction (Seamless / Welded) based on following criteriaa. Supply experience in manufacture and supply of BW Fittings shall
be submitted. Supply experience post Part I bid opening date will
not be considered.
b. Two schedules more than that supplied by bidder in the past (ie. In
case bidder has manufactured and supplied fittings of NB500,
fittings with OD upto NB600 will be qualified).
c. Experience in manufacture and supply of CS Fittings (SA234WPB /
SA234WPC) meeting above OD criteria (Point No b) will qualify only
for CS Fittings. Experience in manufacture and supply of Fittings of
higher grades like P11 / P22 / P91 / P92 etc meeting above OD
criteria (Point No b) will qualify for both CS Fittings (SA234WPB &
SA234WPC) and AS Fittings (SA234WP11, SA234WP12 &
SA234WP22).
d. Experience in manufacture and supply of Seamless Fitting will
qualify both Seamless & Welded Fittings. Experience in supply of
Welded Fitting will qualify only Welded Fittings.
e. Experience in manufacture and supply of Tee or Lateral will qualify
all fitting types (Elbow, Tees and Reducer).
f. Experience in manufacture and supply of Elbow or Reducer will
qualify only the respective fitting types (Elbow or Reducer).
Copy of ISO 9001:2015 or Quality Management System
Certificate or Written Down Procedure.
1. List of in-house facilities for manufacture of BW
Fittings.
2. Valid furnace calibration report meeting requirements
of CS / AS Fittings as per BHEL TDC.
1. Copy of Purchase Order, Inspection Report, Material
Test Certificates, Invoice and Lorry Waybill / Bill of Lading
(in case of export supply) as per Annexure 1 to PQR.
2. In case of foreign bidder, supporting MTC’s to
experience cited shall be witnessed / reviewed by any
reputed Third Party Inspection agency like Lloyds, BV,
TUV etc or by end customer. In lieu of the above, proof of
atleast one export supply made (outside domestic market
preferably Europe or USA or India) shall be furnished.

Bidder must have qualified Design Proof Test (Burst Test) for Elbow or
Tee or Reducer as per ASME B16.9 meeting the tendered size. Bids of
only those products (Elbow, Tee, Reducer) and sizes range (OD,
Thickness) that qualify design proof test only will be considered.

witnessed by any Third Party Agency / End Customers.
2. Details of Deign Proof Test (Burst Test) as per Annexure
1 to PQR.

Note Bidders can quote depending on their manufacturing capability and design proof test qualification. Bids will be considered only for those products (Elbow or Tee or
Reducer), size range (OD & Thk) and manufacturing capability that qualify PQR.
 Only the bids fulfilling PQR will be considered for further Techno-Commercial evaluation.
 Notwithstanding anything stated above,
o BHEL reserves the right to assess the capabilities and capacity of the bidder to perform the contract in the overall interest of BHEL.
o BHEL reserves the right to undertake on-site assessment of the facilities at bidder works during the bid evaluation.
o BHEL reserves the right to check the authenticity of the PQ details furnished. In any case if the submitted details are found to be falsified, such erring bidders will
be dealt as per extant guidelines in vogue.
