It includes new work, repair, additions and alterations, erection of prefabricated buildings or structures on the site and also construction of a temporary nature. By occupation, monthly basic salary ranged from P12,797 for fabrication foremen to P32,379 for CAD operators. In the industry sector, average basic pay also grew by 19.5% from 344 to P411, as well as in construction where pay rose from P330 to P399, or by 20.9% during the same period. Average monthly basic pay of workers stood at P13,559 and monthly allowance at P1,716 based on results of the Occupational Wages Survey (OWS). Pay was slightly higher in the construction industry at P13,611, although median monthly allowances is lower at P838.
