1. GIVE YOUR OWN STORY, OR ANY STORY
YOU'VE LEARNED THAT PERTAINS ALL
ABOUT SEXUAL HARASSMENT
I knew a few stories of some of my friends that suffered kind
of sexual harassment one of my friends once encounter a
man that vigorously held her hand even though they didnt
know each other and tried to lure her towards the said mans
place, thankfully they walked in the street that my friends
previous classmate lives so she ends up running towards the
house of her previous classmate and rushes to enter which
ends up saving her towards an unfortunate events, one of my
senior high school friend suffered similar harrassment
recently which happened last month when she was going
back towards her house after working a stranger followed
her and her officemate in a middle of the midnight at Bagong
Silang the said stranger continuously follows and catcalls
them so as part of their instinct they slowly increase their
walking speed to avoid the stranger but the stranger does
what they are doing which ends up them trying to run to the
nearest tricycle terminal to completely lose and avoid the
said guy.

their early childhood development and she was
also helped in developing their nature as a

D. What does she learn from her experience as a
leader?
According to her, you need to weigh the
consequences of your plan. Everything matters
especially the perspective of your people. But at the
end of the day, the leader should make the decision.
So whether it'll be accepted or refused by the
majority, there has to be an outcome that will
benefit the good of many.
2. INTERVIEW A WOMAN LEADER IN YOUR AREA/ COMMUNITY.
ALLOW HER TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARRY INFORMATIONS AND
ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS:
E. What approaches has she utilized for development of
women?
Every changes should start in yourself. I have attended
seminars related to VAWC and during the talk, the rights of
women and how we are protected by the law was
highlighted. However, it is also important that we set
limitations for ourselves because it will reflect on how we
present ourselves. There should always be a boundary
between you and other people which you can consider as
your own rule. It is not just "your body, your rule." It is more of
"You and your rule." She also said that there are programs or
youth organization in their school that she was handling. One
example is their Gender and Development (GAD)
Organization. Ms. Lovelia sometimes attending seminars that
includes the topic of gender equality and women
empowerment. She makes sure that what she have learned in
those seminars can be shared to her students and apply
them in their daily lives.
F. What needs to be done further to address women’s
concern?
Ms. Lovelia believed that she have done further
enough to address women's concern. The only
remaining concern is how the society will adjust
once the action is taken to resolve the concern
3. ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF LEGALIZING
PROSTITUTION? EXPLAIN
No, because it can cause a lot to women's health and safety. In their
health, it can cause Sexual Transmitted infections, HIV, Physical or Sexual
Injuries, Depression, etc. Having this kind of work means that you are also
close to diseases because you didn't know the health condition of your
partner. It means that if that person has a disease especially when it is a
sexually transmitted disease, she can also be infected. Also when the
person you will go to is abusive it can cause those women injuries. In their
safety, it can cause human trafficking or violence. In human trafficking,
especially here in our country, there has a lot of human trafficking cases
where kids or minors are being forced to trade to foreigners or local
Filipino for sex work. By just that cases we have it just proven that
prostitution shouldn't be legalized because there will be a lot of people
that will just take it for granted. They will just use it so that they will earn
money easily even though they will force a lot of people to do it. It will just
also make men look small to women. Because they will think that they can
just pay those women to have sex with them. It shouldn't be legalized
although it was the woman's choice if they will enter this kind of job if this
prostitution will be legalized there will be a lot of people that will take this
for granted and if that person commits a crime this legalized thing will
just lessen their punishment. We are promoting women's empowerment
but legalizing prostitution can also be a way that a lot of people will
discriminate against or treat women less than they deserve.
4. DOES REPUBLIC ACT 10354 OR BETTER
KNOWN AS RH LAW EFFECTIVELY?
Most of us Filipinos are Catholics and RH law was depicted as promoting
abortion or abortion products and other sinful acts that are against the
Catholic church that's why legislating RH law was very difficult. Another
reason why it is difficult to legislate the RH law is because of the
constitutional provision, particularly that is provided in Article 2, section
12 of the 1987 constitution which mandates that: "The state recognizes
the sanctity of life.. it shall equally protect the life of the mother and the
life of the unborn from conception." Meaning, the Philippine Government
must recognize the importance and must protect the life of the mother
and the unborn. So the use of condoms/IUDs or contraceptives/pills, or
artificial family planning is labeled as "anti-life" or against conception. But
those things are considered as RH products, so there is a conflict or
contrary between the Article 2, section 12 of 1987 constitution and the
Reproductive health law or RH law.
5. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT ALL HOUSEHOLD
RELATED WORKS CAN BE DONE BY BOTH
MEN AND WOMEN? DISCUSS YOUR
OPINIOIN ON THIS REGARD.
Yes, it is possible that all household related works can be done by both men and women. If we
look at the history of the world, we can see that there have always been some jobs that were
traditionally done by only women. For example, housekeeping was a job that was done by
women in ancient times. However, in recent times, many people are beginning to realize how
important it is for both sexes to work together in order to achieve their goals and make a better
world for everyone. So how do we do this? Well, let's start with some basic information about
housework: Housework refers to all the tasks and activities involved in keeping a home clean,
organized and comfortable. There are many different types of housework including vacuuming,
dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens and doing laundry among others. It also includes
taking care of pets such as dogs or cats if you have them at home (or even just taking care of
plants if you don't have any pets).
There is no doubt that household related works can be done by both men and women. Both
men and women are essential in the household. They both have different roles, but they also
have a common purpose. Men are physically strong and they work hard every day to earn
money for their family. They also work outside their home or office to earn more money so that
they can support their families. The role of women is not only limited to cleaning the house,
cooking meals, and taking care of children, but it also includes managing the money saved by
men so that the family can live comfortably as long as possible. Women help men with their
work because they know how hard it is to earn money and make ends meet every month.
Women also help in doing household chores because they know how hard it is to do these
things alone without any help from anyone else around them.
Although it is clear that household related works can be done by both men and women, there
are still some differences between how men and women do them. For example, women are
more likely to look after the family's finances and manage their money. Men are more likely to
work on the construction or maintenance of the house, among other things. This does not mean
that these tasks cannot be done by women; it just means that they may need more help than
others in performing them. The responsibility for household chores should be shared by all
family members. Men and Women should be given equal opportunity to learn different skill sets
based on their interests and to grow.
