Ligue Nationale de Basket:
Supporting Teams Nation-Wide with
Digitalized Financial Planning
Operating the top-tier Jeep Elite and Pro B league competitions, Ligue Nationale de
Basket (LNB) is France’s governing body for men’s professional basketball. With a remit to
help more than 30 clubs achieve effective budgeting and financial control, LNB gathers
financial data for monitoring and analysis three times a year. However, manual processes
using spreadsheets meant that collecting this information was time-consuming and errorprone – both for the clubs and LNB. To address this and in line with plans to digitalize its
own organization, LNB wanted to establish a centralized financial planning solution
that would digitalize and automate the provision of financial data by clubs and the
subsequent aggregation of that data by LNB. What is more, the insights gained also allow
LNB to better advise clubs on all financial matters.
