Recap the Current week: 10 October to 14 October 2016 1.1 By now you should have watched the videos on Change in degree of ownership, also referred to as Change in degree of control. 1.2 You should have worked through the homework questions. (Advice: There are only 5 Questions with answers, if you have to leave out any, skip Q2.) Q6 – including part (d) must have been done by now, under exam conditions. When including part (d) time allocated is a lenient 60 minutes. Catch up this week-end if you are not up to this point! I will post the answer to Q6 today. Please mark yourself critically. 1.3 Mr J Bezuidenhout is responsible for the Change in degree of ownership topic. 2. Week: 17 October to 21 October 2016 EPS – Earnings per share – Mr J Bezuidenhout is responsible. The handout “IAS 33 – Earnings per share – Notes” is a very good summary of this topic and can also be followed while watching the videos. The numbered headings of the powerpoint slides refer to the corresponding paragraphs in the Notes. I will try to arrange the ClickUP learning area for EPS so that Lecture Videos and videos of class examples are together and where possible the relevant PP slides. 2.1 17/18 Oct Watch / listen to Videos 1,2 and 3 for Lecture 1 and Lecture 2. Video for illustrative example 1 2.2 Also refer to the EPS – Notes handout 2.3 19/20 Oct I will make and load videos of the other class examples – Please check your ClickUP constantly. I will also post announcements. 2.4 Mrs Verster and Mrs Pollock will load the SME & GRAP Videos for self study. You must also allocate time for these topics during the next 3 weeks. 3. Week: 24 October to 28 October 2016. We will complete the remaining with EPS lectures. Your on-line assessment is on Thursday 27 October 2016. Please well prepare for this assessment as it will contribute to your success in the exam. 4. Week: 31 October to 4 November 2016. We will start with 2 Forex lectures followed by the first 2 lectures on Hedging. 5. Week: 7 November to 11 November 2016 The final 2 lectures on Hedging.
