________________________________________________________________ EXTERNAL ADVERT DEPARTMENT OF PROCEDURAL AND ADJECTIVAL LAW FACULTY OF LAW POST NO. 3572 SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Procedural and Adjectival Law Minimum qualifications and requirements Applicants for the post of Senior Lecturer must hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law or Doctor of Laws (LL.D) Degree while applicants for position of Lecturer must hold a minimum of a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in any field of Law. Further, applicants must demonstrate competence in handling Procedural Law courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Teaching experience and research requirements shall meet minimum requirements set out in the Appointment and Promotions Criteria/Guidelines for teaching and research staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank. Minimum teaching experience required for a position of Senior Lecturer is six years and none is required for the position of Lecturer. Research output in accredited journals is required for the position of Senior Lecturer while none is required for the position of Lecturer. Experience in legal practice and knowledge of Thuto or any other similar online teaching and learning management system will be added advantages. Duties and responsibilities The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise. The incumbent should be prepared to handle courses in Procedural, Private and Public Law should the need arise. Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up to date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law. Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.
