the room number for this course? We meet Mondays and
Wednesdays from 4:30-5:45 in room number OC 3205

often? I am responsible to check for updates and
assignments on Canvas every day.

responsibility is it to drop the course? What is a
possible result if a student stops coming to class and
fails to drop the course?

18 What is my laptop policy? Laptops are not allowed in
class, without medical reason. Studies truly do show we
learn better without computers in the classroom- I agree :) :)
1 What is my cell phone policy? How can you earn extra
credit points with your cell phone?
Cell phones are not allowed in class, however an extra credit
incentive is available if you turn your cell-phone into a table at the
top of every class. By semesters end you can potentially earn up
to 5 extra credit points for turning in your cell phone :)
1 What is my policy on proofs?
2 Make absolutely sure to save/have a hard copy of every
assignment and paper etc. When we meet to discuss any
issues have the hard copy in hand.
3 How many points is the class out of?
4 This class is out of 100 points system and worth 3 credits.
5 How much is the midterm exam worth in points? When is
your midterm scheduled to happen?
6 The midterm is worth-20% or 40 points to final grade. It is due to
occur on Monday October the 29th during scheduled class
hours.
7 What do you need to bring for your examinations?
8 A blue or green book!
9 What is my policy on only taking the midterm or the final?
10 If one does well in midterm, taking the final is not required.
11 How many unannounced quizzes are there? There will be
three unannounced quizzes!
12 What does the Volunteering & Attending a Community
Event assignment require for you to do?
13 Requires you to volunteer at a relevant group such as
PROJECT LIKE or the NAACP, or attend a community
speaking, film or art exhibit about Black History. After
volunteering/attending writing up an essay on the
experience.
14 What is my policy on chronic tardiness and leaving
class early?
15 Continual tardiness or lateness or leaving class early will
have an effect on ones final grade!
16 What are my six paper violations and what happens if
you do them? Racist, rude,classist,sexist hateful,
derogatory words. Profane and abusive language. Bullying
or harassing anyone, Advertising, “holier than thou”.
