FOREIGN LANGUAGES
There are thousands and thousands of languages in our world,
each of which is used by thousands and thousands of people.
Every language, even those that seem similar, is unique and has
its own history. We know that since ancient times people have
formed different cultures and language is part of it. Therefore,
by studying foreign languages, we can learn a lot of new things
about different countries and people in them. It is not only
interesting, but also helps to develop as a person and expand
your horizons. But why learn languages when you can just open
a translator and use it and you can read the history of a
language in your mother tongue?
Scientists around the world say that learning languages is very
good for health. Our brains are straining, working better.
People who learn at least one language are better with logic,
they can look at the situation from different angles. In old age,
people are less likely to get Alzheimer's and other diseases that
destroy our minds if they know many languages. And besides
this, learning languages opens doors to many professions and
universities in foreign countries. People are very pleased when
foreigners speak their native language with them, this helps to
build friendly relations. Last but not least, you can teach
languages to other people who find it difficult to learn
something new on their own.
Languages are people and the connections between them.
Languages, just like our world, do not stand still, they develop,
they take something new from others and throw away the old
and unnecessary things.
