Overview Maintaining a professional appearance is especially important to the Planet Fitness® brand. Every interaction with members, potential members, visitors, and vendors provides an impression of Planet Fitness®. The appearance of all club team members helps make a positive impression. Planet Fitness® has a casual, neat, and professional dress code for all team members. Team members are expected to use good judgment by following this policy while on duty without exception. Should team members be asked to attend Planet Fitness® events outside of the club, they should follow the dress code unless instructed otherwise. Any questions related to the content of this policy or its interpretation should be directed to your direct manager or supervisor. Purpose To ensure all Planet Fitness® team members maintain a consistent, professional, brand-specific image. Policy The following expectations apply to all club team members: Pants/Shorts General pants/shorts dress code requirements: • Dress pants/shorts must fit well (not excessively tight or baggy), be durable and comfortable, and worn at waist level. • Athletic joggers are acceptable for all team members except Club Managers and must comply with all other pants/shorts requirements. Club Managers are expected to wear dress pants or shorts. • Shorts must be no longer than knee length and no shorter than 3-4 inches above the knee. • A black or brown belt should be worn when belt loops are present on pants and shorts. Shorts (dress shorts or khaki style) o Acceptable shorts colors are tan, blue, gray, or black o Must be solid color, no patterns or lettering o Sweat-shorts, tight yoga shorts, spandex or similar are not permitted o All other general pants/shorts dress code requirements apply • For Trainers: Pants (dress pants, khaki style, or athletic joggers) o Must be black, solid in color, no patterns or lettering o Pant length – Capri length (mid-calf) or longer o Sweatpants, tight yoga pants, spandex or similar are not permitted o All other general pants/shorts dress code requirements apply Shorts (dress shorts, khaki style or athletic shorts) o Must be black, solid in color, no patterns or lettering o Sweat-shorts, tight yoga shorts, spandex or similar are not permitted o All other general pants/shorts dress code requirements apply • • Shirts General shirt dress code requirements: • “Staff” shirt must be Planet Fitness® branded and obtained from the Planet Fitness® website • A PF® branded outer layer (sweatshirt, jacket, etc.) is allowed o The outermost layer of clothing must be PF® gear obtained from the Planet Fitness® website • An official PF® branded name tag must always be worn on the outer most layer while on duty. Note: Team Members may choose to include their preferred pronouns on their name tag (i.e., She/Her). No additional messaging or pins are approved. For all Club Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Leads (if applicable): • Must wear a PF® branded collared shirt (polo, button down, etc.) • All other general shirt dress code requirements apply Trainers: • • Footwear Hats Must wear specific PF® branded Trainer apparel All other general shirt dress code requirements apply Footwear must be clean and suitable - we suggest simple sneakers for comfort • No open toe shoes or sandals • No Vibram brand or other “5-toe” shoes If hats are worn, they must be Planet Fitness® branded • PF® hats must fit properly, be worn completely on the head and straight, and allow for face and eye visibility TG3 Enterprises, Inc. / CM3 Holdings, LLC / 11.7.22 Page 2 of 3 Hats (cont.) Additional Clothing Requirements Additional Appearance Standards o Note: Any restrictions in this policy do not apply to headwear worn for religious purposes All apparel, footwear, and headwear must always be: • Clean • Free of stains • In good condition without holes or tears Additional appearance standards include the following for all team members: • Have clean hair, tidy and not obstructing the eyes • Have clean, well-maintained nails and maintain appropriate personal hygiene • Have no excessive make up or jewelry • Piercings, including facial piercings, are acceptable if they are in good taste and do not present a safety risk while working in the club o Gauges must be no larger than ½” in diameter All visible tattoos must be appropriate and non-offensive to members or team members o Some examples of inappropriate tattoos include but are not limited to the following: Profanity, nude or seminude graphics, sexually explicit slogans, suggestive of illegal drugs, racist graphics, etc. • Failure to comply Because the appearance of all team members represents our brand, compliance with the dress code policy is especially important. Any team member who fails to comply with the above policy may be subject to discipline, which may include termination where appropriate. Statement of agreement I have read the above Planet Fitness® Team Member Dress Code policy. I understand the expectations outlined in this policy and that any questions related to proper dress code should be directed to my direct manager or supervisor.
