Before submitting your project charter, check it to make sure it meets the following
criteria:
The project charter contains a 1-3 sentence Summary section that describes the
project and its aims. (2 points)
• The project charter contains 6-10 goals in the Goals section. (2 points)
• Of the 6-10 goals in the Goals section, 3-5 are SMART goals. (2 points)
• The project charter contains 5-9 deliverables in the Deliverables section. (2
points)
• The project charter contains 2-4 items listed in the In-Scope section. (2 points)
• The project charter contains at least one item listed in the Out-of-Scope section.
(2 points)
• The project charter contains 3-5 items listed in the Benefits section. (2 points)
• The project charter contains 3-5 items listed in the Costs section. (2 points)
• The project charter contains 4-6 misalignments and their decisions listed in the
Appendix section. Note: a note on the decision must be included with each
misalignment in order to receive credit. (2 points)
The project charter may be submitted as a Google doc or a downloadable file (.doc,
.docx, .pdf).
