Problems and solutions:
How to create workbooks in excel and how to save them and the basics
of anatomy of excel sheet. Also the layout in Microsoft excel.
Some important excel points.
1. All of the sheets collectively called workbook.
2. Vertically range called columns and horizontally called rows.
3. Intersection of row and column is called a cell.
4. A workbook contains 17 Billion cells.
5. Group of cells is called range.
6. Every tab has its own ribbon.
7. Zoom in and zoom out and scroll bars does not change the data.
8. Name box shows the description of a cell.
9. Formula bar used to enter formula.
10.
Auto fill handle automatically picks the pattern and fill the
other cells respectively.
Difference between on a cell and in a cell.
When you select on a cell it will select the whole cell ad by typing any
letter the cell it will erase all the data in cell.
When we select in a cell it will select the inner body of the cell and by
typing it will add in data where the cursor is blinking.
Shortcuts keys.
SHIFT+TAB (to move from right to left)
ENTER(Down)
SHIFT+ENTER(Up)
Clear and copy cell content.
To insert new rows and columns.
Same with the columns
To fit all the data in respictvelly.
Select all the column letters and double click between any two column
letters and all the column will resize to the perfect width with respect to
the data inside.
To quickly update information.(FIND AND REPLACE)
CNTRL+ H is the shortcut key
Formla.
First start it with “=” sign
Relative cell reference
Absolute cell referece( uses the “$” sign)
Change the name of the range in the name box.
Functions.
Sum
Sum of d2 throuh d7
Σ symbol used to auto sum.
Average Function
MAX function
Highest namber in that range
MIN Function
Selects the lowest number in that range
COUNT function
Count the total number of the cells
Formating Number , Text, Cells, Rows and Columns
Changing the format of the data.
Row Format
How to create some basic charts
Select the data and press ALT+F1
Print Options and Publishing Options
