“Kim Chui’s Classroom Law of communication” Kim, who expressed her opinion against the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) order to halt free broadcast operations of ABS-CBN, compared the plight of her home network to a classroom situation. According to her, there's a guideline that need to be followed but once you complied to the rule, you should be allowed to leave the room. The actress didn’t actually deliver her message well that’s why the actress got bashed by Pilipino netizens. there are 7 c’s of communication that she doesn’t apply in her statement which caused it became more like a maze and a lot of people misunderstood Kim Chui’s opinion. Therefore, this only shows that even the most popular people in the world can also make a mistake specially when it comes to expressing their feelings. because saying and showing what you feel is not an easy task. Based in the book/module there are 7 c’s of communication and each one contributes in contrasting a good and well understood message. The first one is the completeness. Kim Chui didn’t apply this in her statement that’s why her message go wrong. The message should be straight to the point but her example of a “classroom” to get to her point didn’t work out well. Secondly is clarity. There must be clarity in the message and purpose but since in Kim’s statement she uses so many words with no accurate relations that is why her statement become a completely misunderstood message. It is also due to the lack of support system of each words and example. The third c of communication is the conciseness which I think covered in Kim’s statement because the necessary details are there but not quite due to some words that are not appropriate. Conciseness also drives along or likewise concreteness due to it has the same meaning and it also covered in Kim’s statement. However, there is some c’s that blends perfectly well in the actress’s statement because even though her message is misleading to her purpose and meaning, some words made it through the purpose of her message. Like courtesy, says that as communicators we must deliver our message in a respectful way possible. She maybe misleading her message but she has said this and talk with a respectful tone and assuring. Net is the correctness, which means that it is our responsibility as communicators to ensure that all information we send are accurate and factual. All of Kim Chui’s message or statement is correct and is true. I truly believed that her statement is true and nothing but the truth. In some other way her message gave us the freedom to think and organize our understanding or thoughts about what actually happen if the ABS-CBN network lost their broadcast company permanently. Is this situation we can call this as consideration due to the freedom she gave us to understand, ask questions and correct her. Most specifically in social media because you have the pure freedom to say or ask what you desire. Furthermore, social media is a very big and/or crowded place full of judgemental people as if no one is imperfect but at least the actress accept her flaws and try hard to revive and explain her statement to lessen the misunderstanding of her message. The seven C’s of communication is a list of principles that you should ensure all of your communications adhere to. Their purpose is to help ensure that the person you’re communicating with hears what you’re trying to say. Even thou, Kim Chui didn’t deliver her message well she made a huge effort to fix her mistake and make sure that people now get what she’s trying to say in her statement. When we work with clients or deliver seminars that cover communication, we often focus on the power of connecting with and understanding other people, and being understood. This side of communication is important for high performing teams. Furthermore, I tried to revived Kim Chui’s statement of “bawala lumabas” and this is what I got: “Gamitin natin ang classroom na halimbawa. May batas sa classroom na bawal lumabas lalo na kapag merong klase. Pero kapag naman napakaimportante ng yong dahil para lumabas, pwede ka namang magtanong at gumawa ng maayos na paraan upang makalabas. Ganun din ang ABS-CBN, oo may basta ng ana pinasasara na ang network pero sa lagi ng importansya nito sa buhay ng bawat Pilipino, hindi ba’t dapat lamang na pagbigyan at gawan ng paraan na hindi na ito mapasara at maibalik na muli sa serbisyo. Katulad nga ng motto nila “in the service of the Pilipino.” Nobody is perfect they say and it is indeed true. Now, if only people would spread their little minds and try to understand each other in a very polite way we can have an amazing world when negativity is forbidden.
