INTRODUCTION
This advance information details the focus of the content of the May/June 2022 examinations for the
above specification.
The purpose of this information is to support final teaching, learning and revision. It is provided in the
context of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic which has disrupted the education of students sitting
exams in May/June 2022.
A guidance document on advance information notice has been produced and it can be found here.
INFORMATION
•
This notice covers all examined components.
•
The information is presented in specification order and not in question order.
•
The format/structure of the papers remains unchanged.
•
It is not permitted to take this notice into the examination.
ADVICE
•
The following areas of content are suggested as key areas of focus for revision and final
preparation, in relation to the May/June 2022 examinations.
•
It is advised that teaching and learning should still cover the entire subject content in the
specification, so that students are as well prepared as possible for progression to the next stage of
their education.
•
Topics not explicitly given in the list may appear in low tariff questions or via ‘linked’ questions.
(e.g. questions where students are asked to bring together knowledge, skills and understanding
from across the specification).
•
Topics not assessed either directly or in ‘linked’ questions have been listed.
•
Assessment of practical skills and maths skills will occur throughout all the papers.
•
Students will still be expected to apply their knowledge to unfamiliar contexts.
