In India, an MSc can also be achieved through distance learning. There are 110 schools

specializations.

MSc Entrance Exams

IIT JAM
Students can use it to help them get into PG courses at IISC Bengaluru and IITs. It is a
national-level online entrance exam. Candidates must receive at least a 50% in BSc on the
computer-based test if they are under the ST, SC, or PwD categories, or a 55% score if they
fall under the General or OBC categories.
NEST
Students interested in applying for admission to MSc courses in mathematics, chemistry, or
biology should take the NEST, or National Entrance Screening Test. It is run by NISER
Mumbai and helps students in being accepted into the respective MSc programmes in
Maharashtra.
