 Which are the Russians’ favourite leisure activities?
P1: The Russians love reading and going to the cinema or to the theatre.
Skiing, ice-=skating and ice hockey are also popular. In the summer the
Russians love gardening and working in their dachas. They like to swim or
play football in free time.

summer.

We are trying to find out what our readers like to do in their spare time. Be part of our big
survey today. Write a short article or letter about what you do in your free time and send it
to us.
Letter 1: I spend my free time in different ways. It depends on my mood and season. For
example in summer I enjoy hiking, playing outdoor games, swimming in rivers and lakes
and going out with my friends. In winter it’s great to ice-skate or to play snowballs. I like to
make a snowman because winters a very snowy in our place. By the way I like to go
shopping with my mother and my sister. In the evening I usually play computer games or
listen to modern music.
Letter 2: I like spending my free time in many different ways. One thing is really love is
going to the cinema. I love watching adventure and science fiction films. When it comes to
more active pastimes (что до активного время провождения) playing football is my
favourite. In the winter, I also like ice-skating on the frozen river near my house. In the
summer, I usually join the hiking club (туристический клуб) and set off for mountains
(отправиться в горы). I love walking in the forest and spending the night there in a tent.
