Prof. Senapaty is a Professor of Education and has over 30 years of experience in teaching, research,
development, training, and extension in school and teacher education. He served as the former Director of
NCERT from 2015-2020. He successfully led the institution in governance, administration, programme and
policy formulation, budgeting, and implementation of teacher development programmes. He played a
significant role in providing relevant inputs for drafting the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 India.
