It is to be desired above money because according to the words of Billy Graham "when wealth is lost, nothing is lost, when health is lost, something is lost but when character is lost, everything is lost". • Integrity is to be sought after above anything else. 5 • In the words of Bishop Oyedepo ‘’Character should be considered as one of the greatest assets in the school of success. Character will take you to where ability can never”. • “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1 6 WHAT IS INTEGRITY? • According to Webster’s Dictionary, integrity is “adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.” Integrity is the quality or a state of being unimpaired, state of sound moral principles upright, honest and sincere. This implies that from our perspective of integrity, it is living within the confines of a given moral standard. 7 • It can also be defined as a.state of completeness, wholeness, undamaged, soundness of life.
