Identify expressions of opinions
Read the following conversations and underline all the expressions of
opinions you find (asking and giving opinions, expressing agreement and
disagreement).
Conversation 1
A: So, what do you think about helping poor people?
B: Personally, I think poor people are suffering a lot with this global crisis, and they
need assistance.
A: I agree with you. It´s imposible to live without basic supplies.
B: Exactly, the governement should help them quickly.
Conversation 2
Judith: What´s your opinion of smoking?
Isidora: If you ask me, it´s important that children do not smoke.
Judith: But do you think it´s a good idea that people can smoke in shops and
buses?
Isidora: Of course it is not a good idea. I can´t agree with that. It is very harmful for
health, and you can have respiratory diseases.
Judith: You´re right.
