GAGANDEEP.N REGISTER NUMBER: 22BCE7091 VERIFICATION OF OHM’S LAW EXPERIMENT NUMBER: 2 DATE: 26/10/2022 OBJECTIVE: DESIGN AND VERIFY OHMS LAW SOFTWARE USED: NI MULTISIM 14.0 THEORY: The potential difference across the end of a given metallic wire in an electric circuit is directly proportional to the current flowing through it, provided its temperature remains the same. This is called ohm's law. I=V/R where I is the current through the conductor in units of amperes, V is the voltage measured across the conductor in units of volts and R is the resistance of the conductor in units of ohms. Ohm's law states that R in this relation is constant, independent of the current. If the resistance is not constant, the previous equation cannot be called ohm's law. CIRCUIT DIAGRAM: RESULTS AND OBSERVATIONS: OBSERVATION TABLE 1: Sl.no Voltage(V) Current(i) 1 2V 2ma 2 4V 4ma 3 6v 6ma 4 8V 8ma Note: The resistance used is 1KΩ and resistance is constant. CIRCUIT DIAGRAM: OBSERVATION TABLE 2: Sl.no Resistance(R) Current(i) 1 1k 5 mA 2 2k 2.5 mA 3 3k 1.6667mA 4 4k 1.25mA Note: The Voltage used is 5V and Voltage is constant. RESULT: Hence ohm’s law is verified. -------------------------------------*****THE END*****--------------------------------------------
