VERIFICATION OF OHM’S LAW
EXPERIMENT NUMBER: 2
DATE: 26/10/2022
OBJECTIVE: DESIGN AND VERIFY OHMS LAW
SOFTWARE USED: NI MULTISIM 14.0
THEORY:
The potential difference across the end of a given metallic wire in an electric
circuit is directly proportional to the current flowing through it, provided its temperature
remains the same. This is called ohm's law.
I=V/R
where I is the current through the conductor in units of amperes, V is the voltage measured
across the conductor in units of volts and R is the resistance of the conductor in units of ohms.
Ohm's law states that R in this relation is constant, independent of the current. If
the resistance is not constant, the previous equation cannot be called ohm's law.
