LECTURE 1 / INTRODUCTION
The Aim of the Course
• To help students for their intercultural adaptation
• To introduce them to the host country’s culture aiming at facilitating
their academic and social integration
• To help them establish and maintain relationships and participate in
the events and benefit from the opportunities offered by the host
country.
• To increase communication and interaction and to better understand
the life in Turkey
• To get familiar with the economic environment and culture in the host
country

Okan University offers nationally and internationally for its students.
*You can better understand the Turkish business world, recognize the
current business environment and trends, discuss the expectations of
employees.

Course Functioning
*Course will be conducted online on Blackboard
*Videos and documents will be loaded for you to follow
*Last week there will be an online final exam (we will announce over the system )
*There will be no midterm exam
*70% attendance is compulsory. (Videos you watch and documents you read will
be monitored)
