How To Execute The Forget Accounts Self-Service Tool 1. Double click on the ForgetAccts.jar file from the local folder 2. Please click OK to proceed with executing the tool or Cancel to exit for the tool usage confirmation as follows: 3. Upon clicking Cancel button, the tool would exit. 4. Upon clicking OK button, the tool would provide a warning as follows: Ensure that no required/important content is left in the respective user(s) folders, as running forget accounts would erase all the content for all users from their respective My Folders area. 5. Upon clicking Cancel button, the tool would exit. 6. Upon clicking OK button, the tool presents the main window as follows: Enter the URL used to log into FA, BI Admin user id (belonging to any user) and password of the respective user. Once these details are entered, please click on the Submit button. 7. Once the Submit button is clicked, if the combination of the URL/user id and password are correct, then the user will be provided with a file chooser to select the user input file as follows: 8. The tool by default points to the respective Windows user’s “Downloads” folder. Please select the input file from the appropriate folder (if needed by changing the folder) and click on Open button. For running forget accounts utility, this file should contain one username (for whom the forget accounts need to be executed) per line As an example, if user1 is renamed to user10 and user2 is renamed to user20, then the file should have 2 lines with the respective new user ids in it as follows: user10 user20 9. Once the Open button is clicked the tool would start the processing. Notice that the main window is displayed with a note: Depending on the volume of the users, this tool might take a while to process. Please do not close the window at this stage. 10. Once the tool completes, a closing message is displayed with the log’s location (this location would be the same location as the input file’s). 11. At any point if the tool encounters any irrecoverable error/exception, appropriate message would be displayed, and the tool would exit.
