Co-requisites One of the following courses: EC205, EC255, or EC285. Notes: It is recommended that students wishing to take senior Finance electives take EC250/EC290 and EC260/EC270 prior. 4 Textbook Stan Eakins and William McNally. Corporate Finance (Canadian Edition) v2.1. (Boston MA: Flatworld, 2021). ISBN: 978-1-4533-3879-7. The course textbook is mandatory and is online. (You will complete your homework through the online textbook.) You can buy a digital subscription through the publisher’s web site by following this link: https://students.flatworldknowledge.com/course/2601434 When you purchase your online textbook you will be presented with a number of options. All you need is the "Online Access". (That will give you access to the homework as well.) You must register through the following link to access the homework: https://practice.flatworldknowledge.com/c/HW-245C5A Make sure you register for “BU283 F2022 Financial Management”. 7 Participation The bulk of each class will be devoted to problem solving using the Top Hat web site (or Smartphone App). There is a subscription fee for Top Hat. On Top Hat students will see questions and be asked to input answers. After each question, the instructor will share the correct answer and review the solution. At the end of each week, the complete solutions will be available for review. Pop-quizzes are designed to motivate students to read the e-text prior to the first class of each week. Students should prepare for the pop quizzes by completing the assigned reading. Pop quizzes will be served through MyLS. Pop-quizzes cannot be reviewed after completion. This policy protects the integrity of the question database.
