Ava Muller Oct. 4, 2022 7th Literature Character Analysis & 1 Paragraph Summary Character Analysis I chose Bilbo as my character. Bilbo is a kind, brave creature and is super cool because he has hairy feet! Bilbo is kind because he helps rescue the dwarves multiple times. An example would be when he thought of the plan to escape the wood elves. He took so much time and effort to strategize the plan that he literally forgot himself in the plan! He made sure everyone was included and safe! Bilbo is brave because he faces many, many dangers and is not afraid. An example would be when he went into the dragon’s lair. He was even the only one and no one else would go in with him. Everyone dreaded the dragon, he has destroyed a town and much more. Bilbo even talked to the dragon face-to-face and was not scared at all. 1 Paragraph Summary There is a hobbit (a creature just like humans, only they are tiny and have really big feet), named Bilbo Baggins. One day, 13 dwarves and a wizard named Gandalf showed up at Bilbo’s front doorstep and basically asked, “Hey, wanna go on an adventure? It will be super fun and you will get gold as a prize for going it with us!”. Bilbo agrees, and they go on a really long journey to defeat Smaug, a dragon that had stolen treasure from the dwarves a long time ago. They fight all sorts of creatures: goblins, wolves, elves, gigantic spiders, and trolls. They approach Smaug and soon have a battle called The Battle of the Five Armies. This battle involved Goblins, Wild Wolves, Elves, Men, and Dwarves. At the end of the book, 3 out of 13 dwarves die in the battle. Shortly after that, Bilbo heads back home with Gandalf only to find that his home was taken because everyone thought he was dead.
