MID-TERM PROJECT
IMMIGRATION EXPERIENCES: PUSH AND PULL FACTORS
Throughout Unit 2 Immigrant Experience, you have been introduced to different Canadian Immigration Experiences. Studying
immigrants real life stories and exploring this topic you have gained an understandig of the variety of reasons why people
emigrate and helps you to be more sympathetic to the journeys of immigrants and prepare you for any challenges you may
face in the future. We have discussed different PUSH FACTORS (negative) or the things that drive people away from the place
they are living in and PULL FACTORS (positive) or the things that attract people to move to another place or country,
For this project, you will be required to create your own POSTER with the theme of IMMIGRATION and prepare a short
presentation to explain the concept/idea behind. Drawing/painting must be on white sheet of A4. Acceptable tools of
drawing/painting include pencil, crayon, sketch, pastel, water color, poster color, etc.( Photographs, wires, and other 3D objects
are not acceptable.) You will be given 2-3 minutes to explain your idea through powerpoint presentation. This activity is not
limited to push and pull factors only, feel free to check sample poster below for inspirations.
