DATA ANALYTICS PROCESS
I have chosen cricket as a real-life scenario.
In today’s world everything is data driven, cricket is no exception from Toss to end of the game
all depends on the data i.e. how much efficient the player is in the game at which position he
should bat and whom to give the death bowling etc. are depend on the stats of players.
1. PLAN
The most important factor in cricket is toss, the captain and the coach both decide in the
dressing room what should be the decision after wining the toss it depends on the pitch
condition and the weather report of that day after that only he choose to bat or bowl.
2. PREPARE
Then the 2 scenarios are there
I.
II.
If the captain chooses to bat, he and the team members decide what should be the
score that should be good enough to win the game depending on the pitch condition.
If the captain decides to bowl, then he tell the bowlers that we have to get early
wickets to get the early advantage of the swinging condition.
3. PROCESS
Then the batsman and bowlers play according to the game plan that was decided in the
dressing room.
4. ANALYZE
2 scenarios
I.
II.
While batting if the team is behind the target that they have decided, then the team
have to shuffle their batting order i.e. the next to come up will be the hitters that
should accelerate the run rate for the team and reach the deciding the target.
While bowling if the bowlers get expensive then the captain has to bring the part
time bowler also.
5. SHARE
Then the captain and coach convey the message to batsmen through the drink boy to
achieve that desired results.
6. ACT
Then finally batsmen act and paly according to it and reach that target that team is
expecting from them.
