(UNGP) är ett regelverk som klargör företagens ansvar att respektera mänskliga
rättigheter. Beskriv de viktigaste delarna av UNGP ur företagens
synvinkel samt beskriv kortfattat hur Fazer implementerar

UNGPs (United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights)
= regelverk som klargör företagens ansvar att respektera mänskliga
rättigheter.
Baserar sig på tre huvuddelar:
1) Protect (Stater duty to protect human rights)
2) Respect (The corporate responsibility to respect human rights)
3) Remedy (Access to remedy for victims of business-related abuses)

1) Make sure that businesses don’t violate human rights, passing laws that
prevent human rights violations and implemented
2) Refrain from human right violations always when doing business,
philanthropy doesn’t make up for violations. Companies need to perform
human rights due diligence (investigation before entering an agreemen),
talking to the people whose lives will be affected.
3) What happens when something goes wrong? The victims have to be able to
prosecute the company in a legitimate manner

The principles were unanimously approved by the UN Human Rights Council.

liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right
to work and education, “and many more”.

