Task 1
1. Design a basic shunt DC multirange ammeter using PMMC of I fsd=100uA for range
of 0-100mA, 0-150mA and 0-300mA using a simulation software (eg: Multisim,
Pspice, Simulink etc). Hint: To design a basic shunt DC multirange ammeter using
PMMC will require the Aryton Shunt or Universal Shunt (refer lecture notes).
2. Verify all simulation results theoretical calculation.
3. Given the value of internal resistance, Rm is 6.72kΩ, calculate the value of R2, R3
and R4 and use it in the simulation as shown in Figure 1.

4. Show the simulation circuits for all the range.
5. Calculate the percentage of error for different values of Vin.
6. Complete Table 1, 2 and 3.
7. Write a comprehensive report.
