Phonics (Oral)
Long ‘oo’ sound- Students will be able to say sound, recall words with letter sound and do associated
action
Example: zoo, food, moon, cool, tool, room, roof, broom, spoon
Make word spoon with playdough and a spoon
OR
Word Family- ‘un’ –Students will be able to blend words with the sound to pronounce words and
read words with the ‘un’ sound
Example- bun, fun, sun, nun, run, gun
Make word sun with playdough and the sun
Mathematics (Oral)
Geometry: 3D Shapes- Cone
Students will be able to:
-Describe solids using appropriate vocabulary (e.g. big, small, pointed, can it roll/ stack)
-State the formal name for solids
-Select solids that are the same from a given group of solids
-Construct solids using playdough

Before- Students will be able to spell, identify and say word. Make word with playdough
OR

One/ More Than One- Adding ‘es’- Students will be able to correctly add ‘es’ to words to show
more than one (Plural)
Note: We add ‘es’ to some words ending in ‘sh’ to show more than one (Plural)
