1. Explain briefly the meaning of the statement “Neglect of mathematics
works injury to all knowledge since he who is ignorant of it cannot know
the other sciences of the things of the world”. By the English Franciscan
friar, philosopher, scientist Roger Bacon (1214-1294).
The saying denotes how important mathematics is. That anyone who
ignores the essence of studying it will be ignorant to all the knowledge this
world can offer. Numbers are important and we associate ourselves with it
every day. With that being said, let us not turn a blind eye to its importance
and just appreciate the knowledge it brings to us.
