Riceville Youth & Young Adults 2020 Proposal

Overview
Below is the plan for rebooting the Youth ministry and getting the Young Adult ministry started.
We have constructed this proposal keeping a budget of $20,000 for the Youth and $6,000 for
the Young Adults in mind.

YOUTH MINISTRY: Sunday Service – Curriculum, “God Loves Me Still”
Youth worship services are held at 11:00am on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month.
Riceville’s youth are not all coming from saved households; a significant portion of our youth
are dropped off, not brought along with to church. They may not know who God is and why
praise and worship Him.
God Loves Me Still will: 1) educate the youth on who God is; 2) teach the youth of God’s love;
3) tell them who they are and were created to be; and 4) walk them down Roman’s Road of
Salvation.

YOUTH MINISTRY: Sunday School
Sunday School is held at 9:45am every Sunday.
We are currently proposing no changes to how Sunday School is done currently.
YOUTH MINISTRY: Bible Study
Bible Study groups meet every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 8:00pm and are designed
to support the core values of teaching Christ and developing biblical literacy.
There will be two types of Bible Study lessons: 1) Bible Project; and 2) Fireside Chat.
The Bible Project is a free resource that tells the narrative of The Bible as one continuous story
of God’s plan from Genesis to Revelations. All but one Bible Study per month will utilize The
Bible Project for the lesson as we work to introduce the youth the entirety of the Bible.
Once per month, either the first or last Wednesday, we will have a Fireside Chat-style Bible
Study. This will be an opportunity for the youth to be able to ask questions, express their needs
and have them addressed Biblically.
